All sealing communities in the 21st century make full use of the range of products the seals provide, either consuming them at home, or
using them for sale or barter.
Once sold as either raw material or finished product, these products make thier way into the world marketplace and make thier way to all corners of the globe,
trancending historic cultural boundaries.
Unfortunately there are currently only a few countries which utilize the possible products derived from the seal as many others kill the animal
as a pest where nothing is used besides the sustenace gained by other marine life as they consume the carcass.
