For many users of natural resources, the act of using a particular resource is not a discrete event, but part of a larger culture defined by how their families and forebears have related to nature and used it for sustenance. Not all people who hunt seals see themselves as products of a "sealing culture", but for many in the High North, sealing is part of what defines them. These are the Sealing People.
